The arrival of spring is just one week away
The Weather Network is out with its spring forecast for 2025.
They say the arrival of spring won’t pack a punch temperature-wise for Atlantic Canada. It’s expected to remain cool for the end of March and into April.
“We could also be tracking in significant late winter-like weather in three parts of Atlantic Canada. The ongoing flooding threat is a concern across New Brunswick, as the deeper snowpack in through regions of the north and above normal precipitation. Also, near normal temperatures across the majority of Atlantic Canada, and we could be tipping on the milder side of seasonal as we head into May,” Meteorologist Melinda Singh says.
For May, Singh adds that areas like Halifax, Nova Scotia and St. John’s Newfoundland could begin seeing temperatures ranging from the low to mid-teens.
Temperatures are expected to trend to the warm side of seasonal during May for Atlantic Canada.
Spring officially arrives on Thursday, March 20, at 5:01 a.m. EDT
