N.S. MPs Fraser, Metledge-Diab part of Carney’s new cabinet

Two Nova Scotians were sworn-in.

Central Nova MP Sean Fraser becomes Justice minister, moving from the Housing portfolio.

Fraser wasn’t going to run in April’s federal election, but changed his mind once Mark Carney became leader.

Halifax West MP Lena Metledge Diab is the Immigration minister.

In the ever-important Fisheries portfolio, Newfoundland MP Joanne Thompson remains in the role.

Meanwhile, Kings-Hants MP Kody Blois lost his spot as minister of Agriculture to Heath MacDonald.
