A bomb threat at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Tuesday.

Police say they are asking the public to evacuate and avoid the area while agencies investigate.

You are asked to avoid the following streets:

• Inglis Street, from Robie Street to Tower Road
• Robie Street, from Inglis Street to Goresbrook Avenue
• Goresbrook Avenue
• Tower Road, from Goresbrook Avenue to Inglis Street

Traffic is being rerouted.

The campus is under an evacuation order, and the school asks people to stay away, according to the university’s closure hotline.
