The Mount in Halifax in on lockdown after a weapons complaint.

Halifax police say they are on scene actively investigating.

A social media post from Mount Saint Vincent University says they’re “investigating a possible threat.”

“Everyone on campus is asked to remain in place and lock doors and windows if possible. We will provide an update as soon as we can,” the post read.

A spokesperson tells our newsroom this incident is unrelated to the shooting early Thursday afternoon in Highfield, that left one man dead.
