Two Acadia Broadcasting journalists have been recognized for their work at the 2025 Atlantic Journalism Awards.

New Brunswick anchor Tara Clow won gold in the radio newscast category.

Clow’s cast focused on a scorching heat wave that impacted much of New Brunswick in June 2024.

Nova Scotia anchor Caitlin Snow won bronze in the same category. Her cast also had a weather focus — a holiday storm approaching in December.

“Quality journalism has never been more important than it is now, particularly local journalism,” said Brad Perry, assistant national news director at Acadia Broadcasting.

“We are committed to delivering local news to all of the communities we serve, and it is an honour to have our team recognized for their hard work and dedication.”

The winners were announced during a gala ceremony in Halifax on Saturday.

The Atlantic Journalism Awards honours journalistic excellence and achievement in print and electronic news in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.

Judging is conducted by independent panels of judges. Hundreds have been recognized since the inception of the awards in 1981.
