A byelection date has been announced for the riding of Battle River-Crowfoot in Alberta.

That’s where Pierre Poilievre will be running in hopes of winning his Conservative seat.

The leader of the Official Opposition lost his Carleton, Ontario riding seat in the April election, one that he had held for decades.

Damien Kurek stepped aside after his win to allow Poilievre to run.

A by-election will be held on August 18.
