Three people were rescued from waters off Shelburne County.
Around 8 p.m. Friday, a person was out for a walk near Clark’s Harbour, Cape Sable Island.
They heard people calling for help, and called 911.
The three were clinging to a buoy and said they were in the water for three hours.
According to a Joint Rescue Coordination Centre spokesperson, a Canadian Coast Guard vessel and local boaters responded, and the three were pulled from the water safely.
All were treated by EHS and sent home.
The JRCC did not have details of how the three came to be on the buoy.
