Residents in Lunenburg will have a chance later this month to share their views on a proposed rezoning of the Salt Meadows area.
A Public Participation Meeting is set for September 24 at 6 p.m. in council chambers at Town Hall.
The session will also be livestreamed on Zoom for those who register in advance.
The proposal would rezone properties on Wood Street, Whynacht Street, and Adams Street, as well as parts of Wolff Avenue and Rudolf Drive, from medium-density residential to lower-density residential.
Medium-density zoning permits up to four units per lot, while the lower-density designation would restrict that to two.
Town staff say the meeting is intended to give residents a chance to learn more about the changes, ask questions, and provide feedback before the matter comes to council. No decisions will be made during the session.
Those wishing to participate can do so in person without registration, or virtually by contacting the town office by 4 p.m. on September 23. Written submissions are also being accepted by email or mail in advance of the meeting.
More details on how to take part are available through the Town of Lunenburg.
