Premier Tim Houston, along with Scott Tingley, Manager of Forest Protection with DNR, will give an update on the wildfire situation in the province during a news conference at 3 p.m.
Nova Scotia is wrestling with three fires right now.
The largest is on Susies Lake, near Bayers Lake, and at around noon, the Department of Natural Resources said it was about 15 hectares in size and burning out of control.
Two smaller out-of-control fires are burning in Kings County.
It’s in Lake Paul. They’re estimated just under two and one hectares, respectively.
